Electric bicycle classes and access

Arkansas defines three classes under 750 watts and generally treats them as bicycles. Class 1 and 2 path use may be restricted locally; Class 3 use is limited to paths adjacent to a roadway or locally authorized paths. Operators under 16 may not operate Class 3 e-bikes; Class 3 riders and passengers under 21 must wear helmets, and a speedometer is required.
